Wavecrest Growth Partners Announces 2020 Promotions

January 5, 2021 — Wavecrest Growth Partners is pleased to announce the 2020 promotions of three of its investment team members. Christopher MacNaughton and Anthony Giannobile have been promoted to Vice President, and Justin Katz was promoted to Senior Associate.

We are devoted to the professional development and success of every individual in our firm, and we are excited about the promotions of Chris, Anthony, and Justin. The promotions reflect both their hard work and achievements as well as the collective success of the firm in 2020, where we welcomed 4 new companies and their founders to the Wavecrest family, said Vaibhav Nalwaya, co-founder and Managing Partner.

Christopher MacNaughton was promoted from Senior Associate to Vice President in July 2020. Chris joined the firm in May 2019. Prior to joining Wavecrest, Chris was a growth equity investor at both Guidepost Growth Equity and Bain Capital Ventures and worked in the finance and operations group at infrastructure software leader Turbonomic.  Chris graduated from Dartmouth College with an A.B. in History.

Anthony Giannobile was promoted from Senior Associate to Vice President in December 2020.  Anthony currently supports Wavecrest’s investments in SpinCar, Stirista, and Volante Technologies.  Prior to joining Wavecrest in 2019, Anthony was a Senior Associate at Bunker Hill Capital and an Analyst in Raymond James’ Technology Group in Boston.  Anthony graduated from Boston College with a B.S. in Finance and Accounting.

Justin Katz was promoted from Associate to Senior Associate in December 2020.  As a member of the investment team, Justin currently supports Wavecrest’s investments in BigTime, MikMak, and Stirista.  Prior to joining Wavecrest, Justin was an investment banker at Raymond James’ Technology Group in Boston.  Justin graduated from Boston College with a B.S. in Finance and Accounting.
