Chirag Shah is Growth Partner at Wavecrest Growth Partners and joined the firm in 2023. Prior to joining Wavecrest, Chirag was an Independent Operating Partner, Executive Chairman and Interim CEO for software and tech-enabled companies backed by various private equity firms. Prior to that Chirag led both operational and strategic initiatives, turnaround efforts, and value creation plans for leading private equity firms, including Vista Equity Partners and Centerbridge Partners. Early in his career, Chirag was a thought leader in McKinsey’s Sales and Marketing and Private Equity practices and worked at both IBM and Accenture as a management consultant. He brings extensive experience working with leading B2B software businesses spanning several vertical industries.
Chirag graduated with an MBA from Purdue University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan.

If you could spend a month in any city, where would you go?
Without a doubt I would choose any city in Italy. If I could only choose one, it would be Florence. I could easily spend a month exploring the history and architecture and enjoying the fabulous food and wine in the many piazzas.
What is your favorite sports team?
I grew up in Detroit. Despite years of disappointment, I will always be a die-hard Detroit sports fan.
The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is:
“Be better today than yesterday, better tomorrow than today.” This quote reminds me that no matter how bad one day may be, tomorrow is another day.
