Chris MacNaughton is a Vice President, Growth at Wavecrest Growth Partners and joined the firm in May 2019. Prior to Wavecrest, Chris was an investor at Guidepost Growth Equity, where he was responsible for sourcing and executing new investments as well as supporting the firm’s portfolio companies. Prior to Guidepost, he managed sales and marketing strategy and business operations at Turbonomic. Prior to Turbonomic, Chris was an investor at Bain Capital Ventures, where he focused on infrastructure and application software investments.

Chris received an A.B. in History from Dartmouth College.

If you weren’t an investor, what would you be passionate about doing with your time?

I think I’d have to pursue being a Greenskeeper. I’ve always loved golf and gravitate toward the idea of spending my days in pristine outdoor settings taking care of courses.

What’s a hidden talent or skill you have that people wouldn’t guess about you OR growing up, what’s something you excelled at?

I’m an incredible impressionist, if I do say so myself. Test me!
